Blacky was thrown into the flames, his screams swallowed by smoke and fire. When the inferno died down, he found himself inside a place. Limbs were twisted and broken, skin torn and peeled, and the floorboards slick with the remnants of those who came before. The heavy, endless screams filled the air, and he realized the fire hadn’t ended him—it had delivered him to a place where mercy did not exist.
