Overview

Scrappy, formerly known as Pepper, is a raccoon entity associated with Budsforbuddies. Classified as an artificial familiar, Scrappy was allegedly created to replace Loafal after “The Fox Incident.”

Though publicly presented as Buds’s pet, internal records suggest she is a containment host designed to stabilize the Budsforbuddies ecosystem. Early footage shows no evidence of her existence prior to Loafal’s termination.

Appearance

• Mouth is entirely blue, faintly glowing.
• Lime-yellow necklace with a cracked red spiral pendant.
• Sideways red cap, slightly tattered, swirl symbol flickers.
• Strawberry-blonde and ash-gray patchwork fur.
• Eyes default to gray/faded teal; glow with concentric rings when powers are used.
• Torn ear with earring reading “PPR-001” (original name reference).
• Tail with uneven fading rings; possible glitch effects in AU timeline.

Optional clothing: oversized red sweater with white seams resembling restraints.

Abilities

• Spike Ability: Summons spikes from the air or ground. White luminescence occurs in body and accessories. Only triggers under rage.
• Translate Ability: Can translate any language, including unknown tongues. Eyes glow blue when activated.
• Telekinesis: Manipulates objects with white spiral eye glow. Seen levitating phones and other items, may manifest "spiritual chains".
• Spiritual Chains: Restraints victims metaphysically and physically. Triggered under extreme anger.

Origin & History

Born in a cave with her family, Scrappy’s parents were killed by wolves. She was briefly adopted by a girl, who later abandoned her, triggering fear of abandonment. Raised by cats before adoption by Buds.

Notable Involvements

• Loafal’s Termination:
  Scrappy was sent to capture Loafal, who resembled a prior pet. Loafal was shot by Buds mid-conversation. Scrappy’s blood turned blue upon witnessing the event.
• Roxan’s Death:
  While searching for a dog, Scrappy encountered Kaito and Roxan. After confirming Loafal’s death, she used her spike ability. Roxan was fed to Marley afterward.

Photo evidence from Season 2, Episode 1 shows red X’s over deceased pets (Arizona, Delaware, Loafal, Kaito, Roxan). A circle remains over Akio, marking her as a potential next target.
